about when to plan your visit to the Darby Field Inn. Scroll through the calendar or
select a particular month for quick access.

While at the inn plan to visit the Tin Mountain Conservation Center and the Rockwell Sanctary, just minutes away. The 138-acrea Sanctuary offers an extensive trail system featuring numerous unique plant species. The Center also offers a number of events, nature programs, and workshops. It is great to have this resource available so close to the inn.

AREA FARMER'S MARKETS -
You'll find three in our area - Tamworth (Saturday), North Conway Village (Sunday) and Jackson (Saturday) - each one offering a variety of farm fresh local produce, farm-raised meat and poultry, baked goods, crafts, and music. Click for details about Farmer's Markets throughout New Hampshire.

Tamworth Market begins in May, North Conway Village Market begins the 4th Sunday in June, and Jackson begins the first Saturday in July, and will continue through Columbus Day Weekend.

NH Sanctioned Snow Sculpting Competition at Black Mountain
Come and enjoy the art of snow sculpting at this annual event. Watch sculptors at work and then be part of the competition judging.

Cross country ski, snowshoe or drive from inn-to-inn along the trails of the Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Center and enjoy a chocolate treat at every stop. The sweetest day on the trails!

the fourth Sunday in March    Maine Maple Sunday
Over 60 sugar houses around the state participate in this open house weekend. Weston's Farm in Fryeburg, the closest to the inn, is about 10 miles away. Stop by to learn how syrup is made and try free samples, sugar on snow, pancake breakfasts, and more.

Friday - Sunday mid-May    Northern New England Home, Garden & Flower Show -
Voted top 20 event in Maine by Yankee Magazine. Held at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds in neighboring Fryeburg, Maine.
Memorial Day Weekend    Wildquack Duck River Festival in Jackson Village -
An old-fashioned Sunday in the park with fun and festivities beginning at 7:00 am in Jackson Village. More than 3500 rubber ducks will race down the Wildcat River. Kids games, pony rides, parade, and the Jackson Cake Boss Competition to mention just a few of the activities.

first 2 weeks of June for best viewing    Fields of Lupine Festival -
Great views, fun events and extensive marketplace in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. Festival events are held on the weekend.
the 2nd weekend in June    Annual Inn to Inn Spring Herb Tour -
This annual spring event takes place every year on the first weekend in June. Visit 11 premier area inns to sample items featuring a different herb at each inn. Take home recipes and either seeds or a plant to start or add to your own herb garden. Make plans to reserve our Spring Herb Tour Package to enjoy this annual event.

second week of July through August    Barnstormer's Theatre -
Professional summer theatre since 1931 in nearby Tamworth. Eight plays in eight weeks.

  Arts Jubilee Outdoor Summer Concert Series -
Held under the stars on the slopes of Cranmore Mountain. One of the best entertainment values in the Valley. Live music performances, top quality musicians, all in a beautiful outdoor settiing in North Conway Village.

the first Saturday of the month    Jackson Covered Bridge Dance -
For one day of the year, the covered bridge is closed to traffic so that you can dance the night away to the music of local favorites, the White Mountain Boys! Village access is still available via Route 16A just across from the Wildcat Service Station.
Saturday and Sunday in mid-August    White Mountain Art & Artisan Festival in Jackson Village -
This annual two-day juried event includes food, refreshments, music, activities for children and works of art from more than 40 artists.

  Sandwich Fair -
This three-day event began in 1886 in nearby Sandwich and has it all - shows, parades, craft demonstrations, bands, animals, and a baked goods auction.

  Annual Inn-to-Inn Holiday Cookie and Candy Tour -
Two-day self-guided tour of thirteen area inns located in Albany, Bartlett, Chocorua, Eaton, Hart's Location, Intervale, Jackson, North Conway, and nearby Fryeburg, Maine. Visit area inns to sample holiday cookies, take home recipes and holiday decorating tips and much more.
